Next-Level Community Outreach

Safe and responsible motorcycle riding and real culture change

is not accomplished with billboards and brochures. It is accomplished face to face, one heart and mind at a time – like what instructors do on the training range with their students.

The Team Oregon Ambassador Program will simulate that interaction in the wider world. Ambassadors will be trained and empowered to make a difference in the riding community.

WHO: Motorcycle enthusiasts with a passion for safety, knowledge, awareness, and skill

WHAT: Serve as a safety and training resource and advocate in your community

WHERE: At work, home, school or play; at motorcycling events; on the road

WHEN: Any time you interact with another rider, you can influence that rider

WHY: Traditional mass media communications programs do not change behavior

HOW: Ambassadors will use personal experience and expert knowledge to change behavior

About the Program

The Team Oregon Ambassador Program will build an advanced understanding of motorcycling and positive safety attitude in the riding and driving community.

Ambassadors are trained by Team Oregon to promote motorcycle safety in the riding and driving community. As an expert resource for safety and training information, Ambassadors will set the example for safe and responsible motorcycling and encourage others to elevate their knowledge, awareness and skill.

An ambassador is always on the lookout for opportunities to discuss motorcycle safety and training. Ambassadors regularly attend Team Oregon training courses and educational seminars (free!) to keep their riding skills sharp, stay informed about motorcycling topics and be ready to provide credible information and guidance in the riding and driving community.

Program Objectives

  • Develop a cohort of knowledgeable motorcyclists to serve as ambassadors
  • Change the culture of motorcycling to place greater value on safety, knowledge and training
  • Increase enrollment in advanced training through Ambassador referrals

Expectations

If you take on this role, be prepared to serve as a leader in the riding community. Riders may seek you out and ask you questions, because you’ll be an official representative of Team Oregon!

As an Ambassador, you’ll be expected to represent Team Oregon with honesty, integrity, and enthusiasm. You’ll be expected to adhere to Team Oregon core values and key messages. And with those arrows in your quiver, you’ll lend your voice, time, and experience to the riding community. You will literally help make the world a better place.

Ambassador Benefits

Ambassadors are volunteers; this is a voluntary, unpaid program.

Ambassadors stand alongside instructors as valued members of the Oregon motorcycle safety program, receiving similar training but for different purposes.

As an Ambassador, your job is to spread the word about motorcycle safety and training. So you need to be knowledgeable. Team Oregon will commit to providing Ambassadors a steady supply of private training to help you to speak confidently and fluently on motorcycle safety topics.

Also, we provide you with Ambassador gear and collateral to share with the people you meet on the road and in the riding community. This Ambassador branding will help you stand out from the crowd as a knowledgeable rider who takes riding seriously.

Ambassadors will be acknowledged for their efforts and contributions to motorcycle safety. Prizes and cool swag will go to the Ambassadors with the most referrals.
