Precision Maneuvering Clinic Albany

April 21 @ 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Rider cornering around cones in a parking lot

Precision Maneuvering Clinic

Come and knock some serious rust off your skills! Similar to other “ride like a cop” courses, this clinic is based on police motor officer slow-cone drills … with the cones kicked out to dimensions that ordinary mortals can master. Over the course of the day, you will improve coordination of clutch, throttle and steering inputs to keep the motorcycle balanced at low speed while executing tight turns and U-turns with precision and control. “Breeze-outs” throughout the day allow you and your motorcycle to cool off while practicing group riding technique, formation and parking.

PMC runs 4.5 hours. Instructors ride their own street motorcycles. Because of the low-speed nature of this course, the protective gear requirements are the same as for basic and intermediate students, but we recommend you prepare your bike:

  • Fresh oil and filter
  • Adjust and lubricate chain
  • Remove damage-prone accessories (tools will be available)
  • Increase tire pressure 3-5 psi for the riding drills (a hand pump will be available)
  • Tires worn no more than 50 percent

Registration opens one month prior. You will receive an e-mail to confirm your registration.
