Every year, instructors are recognized for achievements on the range, in the classroom and in the riding community.

Award descriptions


Instructor of the Year

Honors an instructor who serves as an example to others through outstanding energy, enthusiasm, empathy, clarity and craft. Nominate.

Mentor of the Year (New!)

Honors a mentor instructor for outstanding coaching, empathy and support for new instructors. Nominate.

Rookie of the Year

Honors a first year instructor who has distinguished him or herself through outstanding energy, enthusiasm and excellence in teaching. Nominate.

Award of Merit

Recognizes a teammate who, through consistent attitude and actions, goes above and beyond in service to instructors, students or staff. Nominate.

Pony Award

Recognizes the most memorable and humorous moments on the range, in the classroom or on the road. Nominate.

Impact Award

Recognizes an instructor who, through years of outstanding service, has made a significant impact in the hearts and minds of students, instructors and staff. This award is given by Team Oregon staff.
