TRAVEL

Travel – Do I Qualify?

Mileage reimbursement is authorized for instructors traveling 40 or more miles from home for each assigned course. For instructors who live out of state, mileage is authorized for travel of 40 or more miles from the Oregon border.

Instructors may qualify for mileage, meals and lodging if traveling 60 or more miles from home for each assigned course day. The TSU uses a travel matrix to determine what an instructor qualifies for, depending on the number of miles traveled and the course they are assigned to. If an instructor qualifies for lodging, the TSU will make the hotel reservation and provide the instructor a confirmation number on Wednesday prior to the start of the course. PM instructors who travel more than 60 miles but less than 100 miles are expected to travel on Saturday.

Travel Reimbursement

Mileage and meals are reimbursed at the current OSU travel per diem rate and will vary based on the location an instructor is teaching at. Lodging is direct-billed to OSU. OSU usually issues and mails travel checks within two to three weeks of a travel assignment. You can sign up for direct deposit of your reimbursements through OSU Online Services.
