Advanced Riding
Techniques (ART)

  • Improve Your Skills
  • Earn a Completion Card

Master the art of riding well.

ART is unique, challenging, and most of all, fun. Riding exercises are conducted on a kart track, providing riders expert instruction on the clean, smooth curves of a closed course. While participants ride at more real-world speeds, this is not a high speed, racing-oriented class. Participants provide their own motorcycle and protective gear.

Four hours of range (riding) instruction and trackside chats include cornering, braking, swerving, body position and traction management. Our top instructors will help you improve your curve skills by linking turns and choosing better lines. By the end of the day you’ll be carving smoother, more precise corners. Watch the video.

The day starts with a two-hour classroom session covering the skills taught in the riding session as well as risk management, crash causes, judgment and impairments, braking, cornering, swerving, transitions and traction. ART graduates tell us they now have more fun riding with fewer “uh-oh” moments.

ART is recommended for endorsed riders ready to take their skills to the next level, but does not meet state mandatory training requirements for riders to earn a motorcycle license.

Please note: Riding gear is required for all riding activities. Also, see Completion & Eligibility Requirements.

Wet weather/cancellation policy: This course may be cancelled or postponed due to rain. Instructors make the decision based on existing conditions at the track.
